SecureFlex™ Single-use Fine Needle Biopsy (FNB) Device
SecureFlex single-use fine needle biopsy (FNB) device is a highly flexible, easy-to-use device that provides access to difficult-to-reach lesions such as the pancreatic head and uncinate process.
The combination of the multi-layer coil sheath and nitinol* needle provide the device with a high level of flexibility while the new Dual-Beveled Raptor™ tip allows for precise tissue execution.1,2
The SecureFlex FNB needle is engineered to obtain adequate samples for diagnostic testing - even in challenging cases.2 The device is available in 19G, 22G, and 25G size options.
Key Benefits
Precision Sampling. Simplified.
- Dual-Beveled Raptor tip is designed to cleanly cut tissue specimens, preserving intact cellular architecture.2
- Larger, intact samples for accurate diagnoses. An outer distal cutting surface forms fine edge supporting smooth tissue puncture, while an inner proximal cutting surface guides more tissue into the needle.2
- Seamless access to complex anatomy with nitinol needle construction and a multi-layer sheath design — no scope adjustments needed.1
- Effective access to pancreatic head and uncinate process via the duodenal bulb with nitinol needle and multi-layer sheath design.2
- Consistent performance with nitinol construction, which can prevent needle deformation in tortuous anatomy.2
- Smooth operation with a multi-layer sheath design for effortless handling.1
- Enhanced accuracy through houndstooth-patterned dimpling for excellent ultrasound visibility.1

Complications from extra-luminal EUS guided FNB may include, but are not limited to infection, bleeding, perforation, and/or tumor seeding. Extra-luminal fine needle aspiration of cystic lesions has a higher risk of complication from infection and hemorrhage.
The SecureFlex™ single-use FNB device NA-U210H has been designed to be used with an ultrasound endoscope for sampling of submucosal and extramural lesions within or adjacent the gastrointestinal tract.
