As the inventor of the first 360° electronic radial scanning EUS scope, Olympus has developed the GF-UE190. With advanced features, the GF-UE190 scope is a versatile instrument that offers improved image quality and enhanced ease of use compared to the GF-UE160-AL5. Olympus continues to support more efficient EUS observation and diagnosis by improving maneuverability, insertability and usability.

- Improved maneurverability – The GF-UE190 features a shorter rigid section and smaller bending radius, compared to the GF-UE160-AL5, which may allow for increased maneuverability in the duodenum.1
- Improved insertability – With a slimmer distal end and thinner insertion tube compared to the GF-UE160-AL5, the GF-UE190 may support easy insertion into throat.1
- High-resolution imaging – With its increased penetration depth and higher resolution, compared to the GF-UE160-AL5, the GF-UE190 scope may provide improved ultrasound images.2 The oblique endoscopic view supports pancreaticobiliary exploration and allows close examinations of small lesions.
- Easy handling and reprocessing
- Distal End Design – D-Cut design allows easy removal of the balloon band, helping to prevent damage to the distal end. Straight balloon suction channel supports access for reprocessing accessories.3
- Detachable Cable – Detachable ultrasound cable (MAJ-2056) for easy handling, reprocessing and storage.

Complications from use of the GF-UE190 may include, but are not limited to: patient injury, bleeding, and/or perforation. Improper cleaning of an endoscope may result in patient infection. Balloons used with this instrument contain natural rubber latex that may cause allergic reactions. Do not use the balloon on a latex-sensitive patient.
