CADDIE™ Device

Intelligent Endoscopy Ecosystem

CADDIE™ Device

The CADDIE™ device is part of the OLYSENSE Intelligent Ecosystem platform.

The OLYSENSE™ platform is a cloud-based, integrated suite of seamlessly connected apps and solutions, designed to address clinical and operational performance. It is enabled by connecting a dedicated digital OLYSENSE™ Hub hardware device to existing imaging equipment on the tower, which securely shares data with a combination of cloud and on-premise information systems.

OLYSENSE Platform

The CADDIE™ device is intended to assist the gastroenterologist in detecting suspected colorectal polyps only. It analyzes the data from endoscopic video processors in real-time and provides information to aid the endoscopist in detecting suspected colorectal polyps if they are in the field of view of the endoscope.3

Key Benefits

Sophisticated
The CADDIE™ app focuses on improving colonoscopy accuracy. The CADDIE app’s polyp detection algorithm was developed using a robust and diverse dataset, sourcing 162,207 image frames of 1,711 polyps from 906 patients1. The dataset was enriched with lesions that were difficult to detect, such as SSLs2.

Simple
The OLYSENSE™ CAD/AI portfolio offers a simple approach to AI-assisted polyp detection in colonoscopy. The launch of the CADDIE™ app in the US harnesses cloud-based AI for the detection of lower GI anatomy and lesions and is a simple-to-use but effective add-on to the OLYSENSE™ Hub, which connects to Olympus® imaging equipment.

Scalable
The OLYSENSE™ CAD/AI portfolio is designed for scalability, leveraging AI and machine learning to deliver evolving advancements in clinical support. Endoscopists experience seamless AI evolution with the CADDIE™ medical device software that provides automatic updates, minimizing on-site support, and offering access to the most current AI capabilities that Olympus offers.

The CADDIE™ computer-assisted detection device is intended to assist the gastroenterologist in identifying suspected colorectal polyps only.

The gastroenterologist is responsible for reviewing CADDIE™ suspected polyp areas and confirming the presence or absence of a polyp based on their own medical judgment. The CADDIE™ device is not intended to replace a full patient evaluation, nor is it intended to be relied upon to make a primary interpretation of endoscopic procedures, medical diagnosis or recommendations of treatment/course of action for patients.

The CADDIE™ computer-assisted detection device is limited for use with standard white-light endoscopy imaging only.
