Olympus Three-Part Webinar Series: Implementing and Managing an Endoscope Sampling and Culturing Program
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. (December 8, 2020) – Sampling and culturing endoscopes is recommended for determining if an endoscope has been reprocessed adequately. To help healthcare organizations understand recommendations and resources that have been established for endoscope sampling and culturing, Olympus is hosting a three-part webinar series to review the data and talk about the facts surrounding the infection control of conventional duodenoscopes, including infection rates, culturing and lab results.
The webinars will feature microbiologist Michelle Alfa, MD, PhD, FCCM, Professor in the Department of Medical Microbiology at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, and Gastroenterologist Gregory Cote, MD, Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Medical University of South Carolina. Olympus Global Infection Prevention Manager Melinda “Mindy” Benedict will serve as the host.
