GI Stricture

Strictures can form nearly anywhere within the GI tract due to many different factors. Endoscopic balloon dilation is used to restore patency to the esophagus, pylorus, or colon when it has become obstructed due to a stricture. Endoscopic balloon dilators are used in Endoscopic Papillary Large Balloon Dilation to remove large stones from the bile duct.

Olympus has entered the GI Stricture market with its first generation balloon dilator, EZDilate. EZDilate was developed based on physician feedback to increase precision through all phases of an endoscopic balloon dilation in the esophagus, pylorus, papilla and colon.
